Journey to the Center of the Earth is a science fiction novel, written in 1864 by Jules Verne. He claims to have discovered a passage to the center of the Earth, via the Sneffels volcano in Iceland. Professor Otto Lidenbrock is an enthusiastic and impetuous man. He decides to leave the next day for Iceland, taking with him his nephew Axel, much more reluctant. In Reykjavik, they hire a hunter named Hans Bjelke, which will be their guide.
