American History
The immigration in the United States, has been perhaps the most decisive factor of its progress so far. Thanks to the flexible policy of immigration during the second half of the nineteenth century and 1955, about 40 million people entered the territory, constituting the largest migratory flow in its history. The main reasons for immigrating to America have been poverty and the hope of a better life. In this way, the narrow span of 350 years was the settlement of the North American continent and thanks to the significant contribution of immigrants (mostly from southern and central Europe), there was a degree of diversification in production.
